Location: Denver Public Schools, Denver, Colo.
Project Description:
As part of the DPS bond program, Thomas Jefferson High School is one of the many schools that required MEP system upgrades. St. Andrews Construction was part of the team that was responsible for design and installation of the power and temperature controls for the new HVAC system. This project involved replacing the Motor Control Cabinet, MCC1 along with Boilers. St. Andrews assisted with the design, engineering and oversight for the general construction needed to remove the existing MCC1 and the installation of the new MCC1 and Boilers. Additional scope included the demo and installation of power to all unit ventilators throughout the school along with the installation of a complete DDC backbone for control for all HVAC equipment and fire alarm throughout the school. The project required a high level of coordination with the client and other trades to minimize impacts to ensure a finish date mandated by the district.
